AUTOMATIC GATE SAFETY

All automatic gates must comply with safety regulations, specifically the EU Machinery directive, both for your peace of mind and to avoid possible litigation. 

 

There is no governing body for this industry. Electricians, plumbers, construction workers etc… all have a voice of authority who they are guided by. For example CORGI regulates gas fitters and plumbers. 

 

There are movements afoot and the government has been petitioned to form such a body for the automatic gate industry but it is a slow process. 

 

In the mean time we are working off our own initiative to help as much as we can.
